Rules and Regulations
General Provisions
- By registering for the Serpong Warrior Challenge Run 2025 (the “Race”), all Participants acknowledge and fully accept these Rules and Regulations and agree to abide by them.
- The Race consists of the following distance categories: 21.0975 KM (“Half Marathon”), 10 KM (“10K”), 8 KM Obstacle (“8K Obstacle”), and 5 KM (“5K”).
- Registration is open to both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals holding a valid passport.
- Only Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals holding a valid KITAS are eligible to compete for podium placements in all categories (Half Marathon, 10K, 8K Obstacle, and 5K), which are divided into male and female classifications (“Podium”). A special classification for senior participants (40 years and above on Race Day), known as the “Masters” category, is also available for both genders. Foreign participants without a KITAS are considered non-competitive and are not eligible for podium positions or prizes.
- The minimum age requirements to participate are as follows:
Half Marathon: 17 years
10K: 15 years
8K Obstacle: 13 years
5K: 12 years
Age eligibility is determined as of “Race Day” (October 5, 2025). Indonesian participants aged 40 years or older on Race Day qualify for the Masters category.
- Participants under the age of 17 must submit a parental consent letter when collecting their race pack. A downloadable template will be provided HERE.
- Participants are strongly advised to consult with a medical professional prior to joining the Race. By registering, Participants acknowledge and accept that the Race may involve inherent risks and hazards—such as accidents, physical injury, health issues, paralysis, death, property damage, and unforeseen circumstances (“Risks and Hazards”). These may arise from a variety of causes including personal or third-party actions, environmental conditions, or Force Majeure events.
- The Race Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or harm resulting from, but not limited to:
- The occurrence of Risks and Hazards
- Late arrival at the Race
- Congenital illness
- Accidents during the race
- Loss and/or damage to personal belongings during the Race and/or
- Force Majeure (as defined below).
- While an active lifestyle during pregnancy is generally encouraged, pregnant participants must notify the Race Organizer of their condition and submit a medical letter and a signed waiver at least one (1) week before Race Day. A sample waiver can be downloaded HERE. The Race Organizer holds the right to disallow participation based on health concerns and will not be liable for any complications arising during the Race.
- Participants grant the Race Organizer and its affiliates full rights to use their names, likenesses, and biographies (factual or otherwise) for purposes of media production, distribution, and publication worldwide, across all forms of media.
- The copyright and intellectual property rights for all content related to the Race—including photographs, videos, articles, timestamps, and location data—belong to the Race Organizer. This includes usage across print, digital, and broadcast media, and may include personal details such as name, age, and address (country, province, and city).
Participation Terms
- Participants must complete their chosen race category, from the official start line to the official finish line, within the designated Cut Off Time (“COT”), as determined solely by the Race Organizer.
- Submission of an online registration form via the official Race website https://warriorchallenge.id (or other links provided by the Race Organizer) signifies agreement with the Rules and Regulations.
- A payment confirmation email, along with a registration ID, will be sent once the Participant’s payment has been successfully verified.
- The Race Organizer reserves the right to close registration early if the quota is reached or due to other operational considerations.
- Participants must ensure that the information submitted in the registration form is truthful, accurate, current, and complete. The Race Organizer may contact Participants via email; emails sent to the registered address will be deemed received.
- Cut-off times and age requirements vary by Race category.
- Each BIB number is unique and may not be transferred or exchanged.
- The sale or transfer of race entries or BIB numbers is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and possible future bans.
- Details regarding race pack and BIB number collection will be communicated via an official email from the Race Organizer.
- BIB numbers will only be issued upon presentation of race registration confirmation and a valid ID. BIBs must be worn visibly during the Race. The Race Organizer may withhold BIBs in cases of rule violations or suspected fraud.
- Race packs will not be delivered or distributed on Race Day.
- Participants found registered in multiple categories under the same name may be disqualified, and all related BIBs withheld.
- Race packs may be collected by a representative (“Race Pack Collector”) in accordance with procedures to be announced separately.
- The start area will close at the official gun start time. Latecomers will not be allowed to begin and will be marked as DNS (Did Not Start).
- Unsportsmanlike behavior, including obstructing fellow runners, will result in immediate disqualification.
- Hydration stations are provided along all courses and at the finish line. Fruit stations will be available for the Half Marathon, 10K, and at the finish line. Flush stations are available for the Half Marathon.
- Unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers, strollers, and wheelchairs are prohibited on the course.
- Animals are not permitted on the course, with or without a leash.
- Participants may not wear attire or carry items that may cause harm or obstruct others. Face coverings are not allowed while running.
- Inappropriate or offensive attire is not permitted.
- Clothing displaying political, religious, or promotional messages is strictly prohibited.
- Participants must not wear or carry items that could be mistaken for race signals, cause confusion, or disturb others.
- Activities that disrupt the Race—such as dancing, performances, or lingering near the start/finish line—are not allowed.
- The Race Organizer is not responsible for any fundraising activities undertaken by Participants.
- Participants must not obstruct pedestrians or emergency vehicles where passage is permitted.
- Race timing clocks will be present at the start and finish lines. The COTs are as follows:
Half Marathon: 3 hours 15 minutes
10K: 1 hour 45 minutes
8K Obstacle: 2 hours
5K: 1 hour
- Race Organizer will apply Cut Off Points in some Race categories. More detailed information regarding the location and time for each Cut Off Points, will be informed separately by the Race Organizer.
- Participants who miss the Cut Off Time or are disqualified are considered non-finishers and will not receive a finisher medal.
- Disobeying instructions from the Race Organizer or officials may lead to disqualification.
- The Race Organizer reserves the right to stop Participants displaying inappropriate or dangerous behavior.
- Carrying items that pose a safety risk is prohibited.
- Road safety is overseen by the police and transportation authorities. Medical services are provided in cooperation with hospitals and professionals. Medical staff have the right to withdraw any Participant deemed unfit to continue.
- Official timing is set up for all categories. Participants must wear the provided BIB number with timing chip. Checkpoints will be located at the start, finish, and designated timing points. Participants who fail to follow the official course will be disqualified.
- The Participant who wins the Race (“Winner”) must wear the timing chip and associated bib number. Winners must provide proof of identification in order to receive a prize.
- Failure to present valid ID may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
- These Rules and Regulations may be updated at any time at the sole discretion of the Race Organizer. Participants are advised to regularly check the official Race website or PLN Mobile application and/or the official Serpong Warrior Challenge Run website for updates.
- Any matters not addressed herein will be determined at the Race Organizer’s discretion.
Prizes
- Only Indonesian citizens and foreigners holding a KITAS are eligible for prize money for Podium and Masters categories. Winners are determined based on official race times and are entitled to only one prize (the higher value) in the event of dual category eligibility—i.e., no double rewards(no double dipping).
- Foreigners without a KITAS are ineligible for prize money.
- Winners who are Indonesian citizens and foreigners who have a KITAS who are more than 40 (forty) years old on Race Day, have the opportunity to win the Podium or Master. The winner will be determined based on the official race record time, and the winner is only entitled to a prize from one of the podiums he/she wins, based on the official race record time. (whichever amount of money is higher). The winner can only take one prize from one of the podiums he/she won (no double dipping).
- Please note that the winner’s prize money is a tax object according to applicable government regulations, which will be fully borne by each winner.
- The winners’ prize disbursement process will be carried out within 25 (twenty-five) working days from the Race Day. The Winner must ensure the accuracy of the bank account number, address and other information required by the Race Organizer. Failure to provide accurate information will impact the duration of the prize disbursement process, and this is the sole responsibility of the relevant Winner.
Other
- Registration fees are non-refundable. The Race Organizer may reject entries with false, misleading, or incomplete information.
- The Race Organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Race in the event of Force Majeure. If the Race is canceled and/or rescheduled due to Force Majeure, the Race Organizer is not obligated to refund any registration fees paid by the Participants and the Race Organizer shall not be liable for any Risks and Harms that may occur in connection with the cancellation and/or rescheduling of the Race. Please note that Force Majeure is a state or condition of war (whether declared or not), violence, social unrest, strikes, epidemics, accidents, fires, floods, natural disasters, embargoes, legal reasons, or actions of the government of the Republic of Indonesia, and other similar conditions/circumstances that may occur beyond the Race Organizer’s ability to prevent.
Language
The Rules & Regulations are made in Indonesian and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the Indonesian version and the English version, the Indonesian version shall prevail.
